ΙΧΘΥΣ (ICTHYS) also known as the "Jesus fish" was a secret symbol that was used both in the fish form and the circular form by early Christians to recognize churches and other Christians to safely openly practice and openly talk about their faith during a time when Christians were persecuted by the Roman Empire. The Greek word ΙΧΘΥΣ literally translates to English as "fish" but also has a deeper meaning - it is also an acronym for Ἰησοῦς Χρῑστός Θεοῦ Υἱός Σωτήρ (Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior). Furthermore, each letter of the Greek word ΙΧΘΥΣ can be found inside the circular logo that is printed on the back side of the shirt. Features the Greek Flag 🇬🇷 on the left sleeve.
